Monster pepper harvest this week headed out to you and local food pantries. Come see us at @ellsworthfarmersmarket or @bangorfarmersmarket - we also have roots and greens!

We’ll be bringing our produce to both the Ellsworth Farmers’ Market on Saturday and the Bangor Farmers’ Markets on Sunday. We have heavy hearts and wish we could turn back time to before our state experienced gun violence and fear on a scale that we’ve been spared from until now. We look forward to being in community with you this weekend.

We still have some lovely organic seed garlic available for sale! We set aside our biggest heads for seed and they tested negative for disease. Under suitable conditions, the larger cloves in these heads will produce big heads for you next year. We have boxes for garden-sized plantings available at our farmers’ markets. If you want 5+ lb, we can offer special pricing and shipping or pickup (DM me!).

We’ll be at the Ellsworth and Bangor Farmers’ Markets this weekend (and also definitely next weekend)! We have salad greens, peppers, kale, carrots, garlic (seed and table), scallions, winter radishes and more. Reminder that Ellsworth is 9:30-12:30 Saturday across from @thegrand165 and Bangor is 11-1:30 Sunday across from @bangorpubliclibrary - see ya there! 👋

Find us at the @commongroundcountryfair Pine Gate Farmers’ Market this Saturday and Sunday with seed and table garlic and a rainbow of seasonal veggies! We have plenty of Russian Red seed and also a limited amount of German Extra-Hardy. The Russian Red has been producing healthy crops for us since 2016, and the German is grown out from three bulbs I bought at the fair in 2010! All our products and production fields are proudly #mofgacertifiedorganic and our weirdest-looking garlic bulbs tested free of garlic bloat nematode and white rot. Fair vending is a new venture for our farm, but it feels like coming around full circle after spending weekends at the fair as a kid and coming up through MOFGA’s apprenticeship, journeyperson and certification programs. Come say hi and celebrate rural living with us!

Shadows on the back wall of High Tunnel 2 this morning. We are doing well and gearing up for our first time vending at the @commongroundcountryfair - our main offering will be seed and table garlic, and we have some other mixed vegetable magic up our sleeves as well!

In 2023, we are taking a break from farmers’ markets from mid-June until late September.

After 11 seasons of Saturday and Sunday markets, we need a break longer (and warmer) than the winter can provide. We are new(ish) adoptive parents, and we're working on evolving our farm to give our kids and our well-being more of our time and focus.
